White Mountains Sledding and Playing in the Snow

Sledding up in the White Mountains of Arizona can be a blast. Make sure to wear warm clothes and get some good gloves to wear. Most of the popular Arizona sporting goods stores carry sleds to use for sledding in the snow. The makes and models of the snow sleds can be different. Too bad you can't take a sled for a test drive down a nice hill!



Plenty of big hills to sledding in Greer, Pinetop, Hannagan Meadow, Show Low, and Heber. I think the Sunrise Ski Resort even has a sleddding hill. Flagstaff has a new sledding area this year.

Greer Lodge Arizona - White Mountains AZ Hotel

The busiest weeks of the year and the Greer Lodge service has gone downhill very fast! If you plan on staying at the Greer Lodge you must read this information or you may be really upset that you drove 4 hours up to Greer to stay at the Greer Lodge.

The Greer Lodge is located in Greer, AZ and is a 4 hour drive from Phoenix, Arizona.

The Greer Lodge has bought up other hotels, B&B's, and cabins around Greer, Arizona. It appears the main phone number and hotel employees are handling reservations for all different locations of the cabins, lodges, and hotel rooms.

The Greer Lodge is making reservations in all the different properties and they are NOT telling you that you are not getting a room, lodge, or cabin thats in the Greer Lodge!

The sales pitch is they tell you they have a room for $329 or we also have a meadow room for $199 (a meadow room is 1/4 of a mile away from the Greer Lodge). I have called many different times to confirm this situation. They are pushing the other properties that are NOT the Greer Lodge ( these building they bought and have given them the Greer Lodge names)

This is like reserving a room at a Marriott Hotel and getting a room at another resort or hotel!

The clerk at the Greer Lodge did in fact say its less desirable room, smaller and 1/4 mile away after I asked her if hotel room is NOT in the Greer Lodge.

If you have any problems after checking in the hotel shuts down at night (check with hotel for hours no staff is on duty) This means if you have any problems with noise or maintaince problems you are no one to help you!

If I pay over $300 dollars for a hotel room I expect the hotel to have staff on duty 24 hours a day.

The Greer Lodge is not listed or rated with AAA travel & lodging.

Hotels is Pinetop, Eagar, and Show Low are charging only $60.00 - $125.00 for great hotel rooms. If I book a hotel room in Show Low, Pinetop or Eagar I know what I am getting. Bison Crossing Resort Suites and the Bison Crossing Commons Hotel have a grand opening in May for the new Show Low hotel and new Show Low resort.

Hopefully the management of this Greer hotel can correct these problems.
